Poem: Carve/Drift

Carve your name,

where it hurts the most

Do you remember,

where we hurt the most?

All these issues,

you, Ms. Misuse,

our problems piled up

like tissues

Your unjustice was

always swift, for

months at a time

I spent adrift

This rift betwixt us

won’t fix itself,

we won’t fix it either,

until the pain is felt

My skin is leather,

carve your name,

to remember the pain

when we drift back together
