Write on me!

With the ink of life

Fill my skin,

With the marks

Of experience and emotion.

 

Write on me!

Until my skin

Is bruised and worn

Until my skin is

Scarred and torn.

 

Write on me!

When each inch of my skin

Is a mnemonic that shows

The live I’ve lived

Then I am complete,

And content,

 

Then I will finally rest.
